How to enable TLS v1.1/v1.2 for Windows 7/8 & Outlook 2007/10/13/16
If, like me, you prefer Win 7 and dislike the gaming aspect, social media focus, being forced fed with MS options, losing security to MS and a system that looks and behaves like a mobile phone (not a computer) with Win 10 - you should find this helpful and you can have a secure eMail service on Win 7 or 8.
After days of research, downloading and trying various solutions and installing a later version of Outlook - Eventually I found the right way from Kualo.com. You can see their page at:-Kualo Page
Scroll ¾ down the page, this link goes to, then click the “Download” button.
Step 4
Edit the registry.
Find this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\Schannel\Protocols
Under Protocols key, add 2 new keys, if not already there: One called “TLS 1.1” and one called “TLS 1.2“. Inside both of these keys, add another key called “Client“. Now create a DWORD value in each Client key called “DisabledByDefault” whose value is 00000000.
Step 5
Reboot and start Outlook.
If Outlook is still not able to send or can't connect to port 465, change to port 25.
I hope you have found this helpful and it helps you sort out your eMail issues.

Other than an increment in one of the 3 counts, no other information will be recorded.
